No. 1 goal for Serge Ibaka in 2021-2022 season: Grab eight rebounds per game

I like Serge Ibaka, but he could have been better for the LA Clippers when it came to rebounding last year. The Clips were in the bottom half of the league in rebounds per game, but it wasn’t because Ibaka missed 31 games.

Even when Ibaka was out there, he only averaged 6.7 rebounds per contest. That needs to be better, and can be. In the two years before this past season, Ibaka averaged 8.2 boards a game.

All I’m asking is for him to approach that number.

If he can bring in eight per game he’ll be starting. Zubac, the best rebounder on the Clippers last year, averaged under that at 7.2 per game.

Kawhi Leonard was a good rebounder for his position, and he’ll of course not be around for a significant part of the season most likely. Ibaka needs to take advantage of the amount of boards there will be for the taking on the Clippers.

Next. 3 goals for Reggie Jackson next season. dark

He’ll be one of the most experienced players on the team next year. He’ll be in a leadership role, and can take this team far if he can nail these goals.
