DeMar DeRozan had previously expressed interest in meeting with the LA Clippers, reportedly.

In the end, he decided to head to Chicago. This was a poor decision, as DeRozan would have been a perfect fit for the Clippers.

The Bulls were able to offer him more money, but he will still regret the decision to not come home to Los Angeles and play for the Clips.

No. 3 reason DeMar DeRozan will regret his decision: He won’t be surrounded by talent

Think back to when DeMar DeRozan was playing his best basketball.

He was surrounded by great players. He had a tremendous sidekick in Kyle Lowry, or his team had a breakout third option in Jonas Valanciunas, or he had Bismack Biyombo swatting nearly everything in the postseason.

He was so much better when he was playing with great talent around him. When he went to San Antonio, he really didn’t have much help. And sure enough, he began missing the playoffs, and missing the All-Star game.

I’m not saying he’ll miss the playoffs in Chicago. It’s not hard to make the playoffs in the East. But the Clippers have one of the best rosters in the league, especially when Kawhi Leonard gets back.

Call me crazy, but I’d rather be starting in a lineup with Leonard, Paul George, Serge Ibaka, and Reggie Jackson around me than, Patrick Williams, Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic.
