Now that the 2021 NBA Draft is over, I want to dive into what the LA Clippers depth chart is currently looking like.

This is a current depth chart, so I’m not going to include Clipper 2021 free agents, unless they have player options.

The Clippers ended up involving trades in each one of their draft picks on Thursday night. They took Tennessee G/F Keon Johnson with the 21st overall pick, Ohio PG Jason Preston with the 33rd overall pick, and Kentucky G/F Brandon Boston Jr. with the 51st overall pick.

The Clips had an outstanding draft in a year where it wasn’t necessarily expected. They only had one pick coming into the draft, which was the 25th overall selection.

They had one of the best rosters in the NBA coming into Thursday, and ended up strengthening it yet again. Certain parts of the depth chart are going to be not as affected as others, but the roster definitely does look much different than it did on Thursday afternoon.

The Clips drafted three players who fit what they’re trying to do next year, and the culture of the team is strong. Tyronn Lue, who has established himself as one of the top coaches in the league, will have a lot to work with next year. It only got more interesting for the franchise on Draft Day.
