Draft Selections
The Clippers can go several different ways here. The team hosted workouts over the past few weeks and got a good look at a ton of different players. Those worked out included the likes of Kevin Knox, Robert Williams, Troy Brown Jr., Zhaire Smith, Lonnie Walker and more.
Although both picks are late-lottery, that shouldn’t dissuade the team from making good selections.
The team seems very aware of who will likely be available when their numbers are called. We broke down many of these players individually, which are listed below for convenience sake:
Guards
- Collin Sexton
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Troy Brown Jr.
- Zhaire Smith
- De’Anthony Melton
- Lonnie Walker
- Luka Doncic

The Outcome?
We already talked about how drafting wings would be the better move, but with the news that Milos Teodosic likely won’t be back with the team, this seems even more true. Both Sexton and Gilgeous-Alexander could find their way onto the roster and be instant starters.
Any combination of these players could be possible. However, our site expert, Garrett Chorpenning, says the team should be cautious of at least one of the players.
Others, like Troy Brown Jr., may be seen as a reach at our current spot, but could still be there should the team trade down.
Outside of the first round, the Clippers don’t have any picks. However, as evident by last year’s selections of Sindarius Thornwell and Jawun Evans, there is still talent to be had in the second round. The front office could value someone later in the round and purchase a pick in order to select said player in the second round. There are a ton of options then that will be high risk, but may be worth the price tag.
