Los Angeles Clippers: Glen Davis arrested on felony assault charges
Former Los Angeles Clippers’ player Glen Davis was arrested on violent assault charges yesterday, following an investigation from April.
Glen “Big Baby” Davis, former member of the Los Angeles Clippers, was arrested on Friday on violent assault charges. According to TMZ, Davis not only hit a man with his car, but when confronted, picked up and slammed the man down on the concrete. The victim had to be hospitalized for broken teeth, ribs and facial fractures.
Davis was released on $50k bail and does not have a court date as of yet.
Yikes. Davis has stayed in the spotlight since playing for the Clippers. He chimed in on the team’s free agency in the summer, called Doc Rivers “lucky as hell” and argued with Austin Rivers. These were all relatively harmless, but the recent arrest doesn’t bode well for him.
This isn’t Big Baby’s first run in with the law this year, as he had been arrested with marijuana charges back in February. Soon after, Davis took to social media to post about the incident, stating that he would have his day in court. Looks like he’ll have multiple days now.
During his time with the Clippers, Davis provided some spark off the bench. He was a very emotional player, which seems to have carried over to his personal life. Hopefully Davis gets the help he needs as he looks to be headed down a dark path.
