As the LA Clippers may be looking to move on to a better future, there is a real possibility that the front office will split up their superstar duo. The primary reason for the breakup is injury concern. Furthermore, the Clippers are being held back solely because their franchise pieces cannot sustain their health regarding playoff time.

Throughout their last four seasons on the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have played together for 118 games. This is not a good look, leaving the front office with no choice but to force a trade.

Although some may say LA has no picks to offer, they can still trade some of their best players to enter a rebuild. This might not be as appealing as a plethora of draft compensation. Still, the Clippers can utilize what they have to their own advantage. In fact, they have some of the best pieces in the NBA to move around for a more promising future.

Moreover, rumors have spread that the LA Clippers have been testing the waters on Paul George’s trade value. This is prominent news, as many fans remember LA trading their entire future away for one of the best two-way players in the world.

That said, George is in a win-now mode at this point in his career. Additionally, only one team could use a player of his caliber and has a package that will meet the Clippers’ asking price. If everything works out, this is a phenomenal trade for both teams.
