What a year the 2020-2021 season was for the LA Clippers, and what a year it was for Paul George.

Despite Twitter trolls harping on the negatives, Paul George was a star yet again in this league. He was an All-NBA player for the sixth time, and finished in the top four for playoff points and rebounds in the postseason.

Now having experience playing with Kawhi Leonard injured, I’m not worried about how he’ll perform without his superstar teammate. He’s going to have a monster year this year. There are a few clear goals for the star shooting guard/small forward, and they’re all attainable for sure.

No. 3 goal for Paul George in 2021-2022 season: Start the All-Star Game

Paul George will of course be representing the LA Clippers at the All-Star Game, but he has so much opportunity to start for the Western Conference team.

Kawhi will likely be out for every game before the All-Star break, so this is PG’s chance to prove himself while he’s under the spotlight. If he makes the All-Star Game as a starter, it just shows that the Clippers are having a tremendous season.

That’s because it means that PG has elevated his game and has kept the ship afloat without our franchise player. Besides, the beginning of this schedule is what I believe should be easy for the Clippers. I honestly believe that the Clippers have what it takes to enter December with just two losses to their record.

PG has an opportunity here to feast on weaker competition, and be the man in charge without Leonard out there.
