No. 2 way to fill out the remainder of the LA Clippers roster: Re-sign everybody

There are still a few 2020-21 LA Clippers who are free agents.

That’s DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson, and Amir Coffey.

Maybe the Clippers want to really make a commitment to keeping the chemistry of last year’s team together and bring the rest of the squad back.

After all two of these players, DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson, play positions that the team is currently very thin at.

The two big men should certainly have a spot on this team, if the team doesn’t see any other free agent upgrades. Cousins played very well in his opportunities to play when both Ivica Zubac and Serge Ibaka were out in the Western Conference Finals.

Patterson didn’t play at all in the playoffs this year, so maybe the team is interested in completely moving past him. As for Coffey, he’s still young and maybe could be developed under the great coaching of Ty Lue.

These aren’t impact players, with the exception of Boogie Cousins. Even then, he can’t play a ton of minutes these days due to his age.

I do think, however, that there is something to keeping as many guys around as possible. Therefore, it might be in the best interest of the team to round out this roster by re-signing the guys who were here with us last year.
