After beating two top-tier teams at home, the LA Clippers continue their home stand against the San Antonio Spurs. Here are three things to watch for.

After defeating the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors in consecutive home games, the LA Clippers continue their home stand tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The team needs to pick up another victory against a potential Western Conference playoff team. What can we expect out of them? Here’s what to watch for.

The Big Stage

For the first time this season, the Clippers will appear on national television (NBATV nontwithstanding). This could not come at a more opportune time as the team has slowly garnered the attention of national media in wake of their last two victories.

The Clippers, who were given very low expectations to start the season, have fluttered in and out of the media. First it was the trade of Jimmy Butler and him mentioning the Clippers as a suitor. Alas, that was short lived and died out completely when Butler was traded to Philadelphia.

Then, the Clippers got a little attention after beating Golden State on Monday, but that was quickly drowned out by the Kevin Durant and Draymond Green feud.

With the team playing on TNT tonight, the conversation can finally be about the Clippers and their early season success. This could be big for the team as they are looking to be big suitors in free agency next summer. Yes, many in the NBA circle are fully aware of the group that LA has put together, but more positive attention never hurts.

Given a good performance tonight, the Clippers could be seen as a real playoff contender in the mainstream media.
