Los Angeles Clippers: Boban Marjanovic has a big season ahead of him

Ahead of the start of the NBA season, we are breaking down the Los Angeles Clippers roster. Next up is big man Boban Marjanovic.

Finally! Arguably the most popular player on the Los Angeles Clippers, Boban Marjanovic is ready to start his first full season with the franchise. Boban, or Bobi as he is affectionately called, is a 7’3 center from Serbia with a personality as big as he is.

Weighing in at 291 pounds and sporting a 7’10 wingspan, Boban is a sight to see and a giant among giants.

Arrival

Boban joined the Clippers last season as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons. Although he was an afterthought in a trade that brought bigger names Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley to LA, Boban quickly made a name for himself.

While down to the Nuggets in Denver back on February 27, Boban checked into the game. What ensued was one of the biggest highlights of the Clippers’ season. Marjanovic made Nikola Jokic look pedestrian on his way to 18 points, five offensive rebounds, two steals and a block in only 15 minutes. His play turned the tide for the Clippers who ended up coming back and winning the game.

After this performance, Marjanovic would continue to get spot minutes when the team needed a spark. Now, after a full offseason in LA which included filming a role in a movie along with a web series, what can we expect from the big Serbian?
