The Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers face off tonight in another preseason game. Here are three things to look for.
The Los Angeles Clippers head into their third game of the preseason tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
Thus far through 2 games, the Los Angeles Clippers have shown flashes of how they will look to play once the regular season commences.
This team has shown great potential on both sides of the floor as well as trustworthiness with moving the ball around as Head Coach Doc Rivers has preached for years.
Tonight, the Clippers face LeBron James and the Lakers in what looks to be an exciting preseason match-up.
We will preview 3 things to keep an eye on heading into this game.
1. Will the offense continue to shine?
During their last outing, the Clippers played exceptionally well on the offensive end of the floor as Danilo Gallinari heated up in a hurry against the T’Wolves.
Tobias Harris added 23 points and the Clippers won the assist battle 36-12. Boban Marjanovic also chipped in with 15 points in just 11 minutes of action.
The Clippers will look to keep sharing the ball and get easy looks against the Lakers.
2. Rotations, Rotations, Rotations
The Clippers have used very similar starting and bench lineups so far this preseason as we are getting a glimpse at possible long shots for this 15-man roster.
If Doc decides to use the same lineups we’ve been seeing, it will be hard to see the likes of Jawun Evans or Desi Rodriquez making this team.
We should see a lot of Shai, Jerome, Sindarius and Ty Wallace tonight.
3. Position Battles
Just like key #2, the front office will see which players will separate themselves from the rest of the pack and make a case to earn a roster spot.
Clippers staff and players have said they will be a tough minded team this year so it will interesting to keep tabs on which players fit the bill.
