This will mark the fourth game that Gallinari has missed due to this particular injury. He was hampered earlier in the season by a strained glute, which kept him out of 25 games. Prior to injuring his hand, Gallinari was looking more like the player the Clippers expected when they signed him during the summer.
This hand injury shouldn’t keep him out long, but it makes sense to hold him out against a weaker Knicks team who should be beatable even without Gallinari.
Other Injuries
The team will also be without Avery Bradley, who has no timetable to return after aggravating his sports hernia. It’s possible that Bradley does not suit up for the team again this season if he opts to have surgery.
You can check out the whole injury report released by the Los Angeles Clippers below. All players on the report are listed as out.
- Patrick Beverley (right knee surgery)
- Avery Bradley (athletic pubalgia)
- Jawun Evans (sore lower abdominal)
- Danilo Gallinari (right hand contusion/sprain)
There hasn’t been an update on rookie Jawun Evans, who has not played since the January 20 game against the Utah Jazz.
