LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 31: Milos Teodosic

The LA Clippers will once again be without several key players as they face the Hawks on Monday night.

Good thing the National Championship is on tonight. The LA Clippers will be without several of their key players as they face off against the Atlanta Hawks. The team officially announced via their PR Twitter the following players will be out.

Injury report

  • Blake Griffin: OUT (concussion)
  • Danilo Gallinari: OUT (left glute)
  • Austin Rivers: OUT (right ankle)
  • Patrick Beverley: OUT (right knee)
  • Milos Teodosic: Questionable (plantar fasciitis)

Most of these should come as no surprise. After Blake Griffin went down in Saturday’s game against the Warriors, it was assumed he would be out most of, if not all of this week. We also knew that Austin Rivers would take a little more time and the silence on Danilo Gallinari’s injury is telling that he will miss more time as well.

However, the big news here is that Milos Teodosic is questionable. The Serbian guard re-aggravated his injury last week and was unable to suit up against the Warriors. Doc Rivers did seem optimistic that his starting point guard would not miss a lot of time, however.

With Blake now out and the team still a couple of games out of 8th place in the Western Conference, it may be tempting to let Milos play. That being said, this isn’t a great Atlanta Hawks team that they face tonight, so letting Milos rest a bit more may not guarantee a loss.
