During the Utah Jazz’s comeback victory over the LA Clippers on Sunday, TNT’s camera’s captured Steve Ballmer summarizing all our feelings.
Another playoffs, another role player torching the LA Clippers in route to a comeback victory. That’s not to mention the injuries every postseason. It’s become clockwork at this point. Enter Steve Ballmer late in the game Sunday night.
The Clippers’ owner made the trip out to Utah to watch his team, but the camera’s caught him right as everything went south.
Doesn’t that face just summarize the feeling we all have at this point? Blake Griffin is out with an injury. Again. The team collapsed in the fourth quarter. Again. Even if we win this series, there’s a 99.9% chance we don’t advance out of the second round. Again. It’s a very frustrating place to be every late April/early May for LA fans.
The LA Clippers, now tied 2-2 with the Utah Jazz, have to hope they can get enough scoring from their rotational players. News that Austin Rivers should be back for game 5 is encouraging, but will that be enough, especially now that Rudy Gobert has a game back under his belt?

Unfortunately, this looks to be another season of disappointment. The Clips just cannot seem to catch a break. As free agency looms over Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick, more and more seem to question whether or not it’s time to break this core apart. This brings us back to Steve Ballmer. Is that look his realization that this era is done? Or, is he realizing he may have to shell out more money if he wants to add another piece?
Maybe. Maybe not. But, maybe he just finally figured out what his money is actually being spent on.
