If you’ve watched the LA Clippers’ summer league, or tuned in to the G-League, even the slightest bit last season, you would know who Sean Pedulla is and how much potential he has as a point guard. Pedulla brings a strong, precise hybrid skill set in the backcourt that lets him score and make plays at the highest level.
Unfortunately, the Clippers waived him following the signing of Jalen Pickett. But Clipper Nation was certain Pedulla would be picked up quickly, and he was, by the Houston Rockets, on a two-way contract, according to Michael Scotto of 'HoopsHyps."
The Houston Rockets and guard Sean Pedulla have agreed to a two-way deal, agent George S. Langberg of @GSLSportsGroup told @hoopshype. Pedulla was the NBA G League Rookie of the Year, averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game in the G League last season. pic.twitter.com/jBOcYZoAQy

The 2025-26 G-League rookie of the year now joins head coach Ime Udoka’s squad as a depth piece and someone who must stay ready. He will definitely be used if an unexpected injury takes out someone in their backcourt.
The Houston Rockets got a solid point guard in former Clipper Sean Pedulla
Although the Houston Rockets are a team focused on winning an NBA championship now, with the help of guys like Kevin Durant and Fred VanVleet, two extremely seasoned veterans, they are still trying to keep their young core together, with the want to add to it.
Sean Pedulla is a guy that could certainly be held on to long-term, alongside Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, Reed Sheppard, Tari Eason, and Jabari Smith Jr.
That’s how good he is, and surely, if the Clippers could’ve kept him, they would’ve.
Pedulla is just 23 years old and is entering the 2026-27 regular season after having a strong summer league campaign where he averaged 13.6 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds, shooting nearly 36% from beyond the arc.
These numbers show there’s so much to be fond of, and the film room backs it up. Pedulla is an expert in the pick-and-roll, understands how to leave an impact offensively despite being undersized at six-foot-one, and can shoot the lights out, especially when he’s on an unconscious heat check.
All Pedulla needs with the Rockets is one solid opportunity to showcase what he’s made of, and Udoka will be sold from that point on.
The kid can hoop, and with the use of one of their two-way slots, the Rockets’ front office made an excellent choice in bringing him to the organization.
Additionally, playing with the Rockets is a great way for Pedulla to develop, with VanVleet, Marcus Smart, and Bogdan Bogdanovic there.
