Location for Clippers' 2024 training camp is officially revealed
By Will Eudy
With the LA Clippers' roster full, fans know largely what this team will look like headed into the 2024-25 season. There are not many questions left about roster construction at this point, as any changes made from this point forward are likely to be extremely minor ones.
We know the Clippers' entire schedule for the upcoming season, and Los Angeles-based fans are of course busy planning which games they will plan to attend at the brand new Intuit Dome. But on Tuesday, some new information was revealed regarding the Clippers' training camp leading up to the start of the regular season.
Previously, we believed that the Clippers would be remaining in Southern California to conduct training camp. But Farbod Esnaashari of Clippers on SI reported that the team will officially be headed to Hawaii for camp instead.
The Clippers will hold training camp in Honolulu, Hawaii
This will mark the third consecutive year that the Clippers will embark on a trip to Hawaii to complete their training camp. The previous two seasons, in fall 2022 and fall 2023, they used the University of Hawaii at Manoa's facilities in Honolulu, Hawaii for all their activities, even playing a preseason game at their arena against the Utah Jazz in 2023.
It was also confirmed that this year, the Clippers will compete in a preseason game versus the Golden State Warriors on October 5. Fans local to the Hawaiian islands and especially to O'ahu will be flocking to the University to get a look at as much action as they can.
The Clippers will return to Los Angeles following training camp, and will open the NBA regular season at Intuit Dome on October 23 against the Phoenix Suns.
