Just a few days remain before Intuit Dome finally opens to the public. LA Clippers fans have been waiting for this day for many months, and now they will finally get to see the reality where their favorite team owns their own arena separate from any and all rival teams.
But for anyone who has been following along with its development, Intuit Dome is more than just your standard new age arena. It offers a top of the line experience that puts the fan at the forefront. As a lifelong die-hard basketball fan in his own right, Steve Ballmer wanted to make sure this venue catered to the wishes and needs of passionate Clipper fans.
Some of the amenities Intuit Dome can boast that target these goals include a custom seating arrangement designed to give the Clippers a superior homecourt advantage, USB plug-ins to charge devices at your seat, expansive bathrooms to make waiting lines shorter, and many other useful accommodations. But perhaps the most exciting feature will cater to the true gym rats of Los Angeles.
Intuit Dome has five basketball courts in total
Intuit Dome will feature five different basketball courts, at least two of which can be used by the public. The outdoor court is located to the left of the main entrance to the arena on the northwest side. This court is situated in front of a massive TV that the team will use to host viewing parties for away games (pictured at the top of this article).
One of the indoor courts is Court B. As the Clippers' X post describes, it is designed to be used by the community, and can be rented out for various special events. The court features official Clippers paint and branding, and is situated right by one of the exterior walls of the building, giving it a tremendous view.
The more we see of this new arena from both the outside and the inside, the more we are discovering that Ballmer's grand vision is becoming all that it cracked up to be and more. There are undoubtedly plenty of Clippers fans already looking forward to gathering their friends and taking part in some pickup basketball at these new community courts.
