All of LA Clippers nation is excited for the start of a new era in franchise history as the team prepares to open up the brand new Intuit Dome, which will serve as the Clippers' new home arena beginning in October. With the venue officially opening its doors on August 15, we are less than one month away from fans being able to enjoy all the amenities the revolutionary arena can offer.
Of course, perhaps the biggest reason Clippers fans are looking forward to Intuit Dome opening is that their team will finally have their own dedicated venue for the first time in franchise history. The Clippers moved into Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) in 1999 right alongside the Lakers, where they shared the venue for two and a half decades.
Now, not only will the Clippers have a home court all to themselves, but this arena is far more modern and luxurious than that of the Lakers'. One of the biggest advantages it can boast over Crypto.com Arena is that it will feature a USB charging port at every single seat in the arena, allowing fans to plug in and charge their devices at their leisure before and during games.

That is a massive upgrade over the in-arena experience of yesteryear. Now, fans will never have to worry about their device dying at the game and can stay plugged into social media while the action is going on. Of course, this is part of Steve Ballmer's vision of providing the best possible game experience for Clippers fans.
Intuit Dome also features an outdoor basketball court that fans can play on, right next to an art piece resembling a sailing ship with basketball hoops from all around the world acting as sails. On the inside, one concourse features a display of high school basketball jerseys from every single school in the state of California. Clearly, this whole place is shaping up as one massive work of art.
The Lakers may still have more championships than the Clippers. But it is clear that with this new arena upgrade, the Clips are lapping their cross-town rivals in the departments of arena atmosphere and fan experience.
