5 LA Clippers at risk of getting traded this summer
NBA fans love trade speculation. At the same time, NBA fans hate trade speculation. It's a paradox. Everyone loves a hypothetical trade until their guy is getting moved.
We'll speculate anyway. The LA Clippers haven't looked like a title contender during the latter half of the 2023-24 season. Who knows what could happen if they flame out early in the postseason?
Perhaps the Clippers will hold serve. We can't discount that possibility. On the other hand, we could see some players on the move.
It could be one of their stars. It could be a role player or a young player. Either way, here are five members of the LA Clippers who are at risk of being moved this summer.
5. Kobe Brown
Let's be honest. Kobe Brown isn't going to move the needle in a significant way. There's no general manager in the NBA with "Kobe Brown" circled in red on a whiteboard with accompanying exclamation points.
After all, the 24-year-old rookie is averaging just 8.0 minutes per game. His Offensive Box Plus/Minus (OBPM) is -4.6. Brown hasn't flashed any tangible potential during his first NBA season.
At the same time, Brown and a handful of second-round picks could bring in a marginal role player. The Clippers certainly won't hesitate to move Brown if it can help them upgrade their roster. With that said, if they want to make a more substantial move, they'll have to move a more substantial player.
