2. Dario Saric
Saric seems good enough for the Golden State Warriors. He's playing 17.6 minutes per game for them in 2023-24. He would have been an interesting fit for the Clippers as well.
Like everyone on this list, Saric can play the 5 and space the floor. He's connecting on 37.6% of his 3.2 threes per game. Yet, Saric is more than just a floor spacer.
He's also a crafty playmaker. Saric is averaging 4.8 assists per 75 possessions in 2023-24. That's an impressive mark for a player who isn't a primary - or even secondary - playmaker. In other words, he could have replaced some of Plumlee's utility while spacing the floor at the same time.
With that said, he's not a perfect fit. Let's not forget about that whole defense thing. Saric can be a liability, and that doesn't jive with the Clippers' philosophy. Was a cleaner fit for this roster available?
