3. Markieff Morris

Are grit and toughness a priority for the Clippers? How about team chemistry? If the answer to either question is yes, they should have taken a look at Morris. His twin brother Marcus was one of those Clippers who found their way to the Sixers in the Harden deal.

Let's talk basketball. Morris would have been a good fit for this team. Unlike Prince, he's accustomed to soaking up minutes as a small-ball 5. Morris has also developed into a sharpshooter in recent years, knocking down 37.5% of his 1.6 threes per game in 2023-24.

Again - hindsight is 20/20. Adding the other Morris just to trade his brother for James Harden could have been problematic in terms of locker-room chemistry. Moreover, Morris is mustering 8.4 minutes per game for the Dallas Mavericks this year. At this stage of his career, he's not exactly a needle mover.

Could the Clippers have targeted a more impactful player?
