The twin-tower lineup, consisting of two big men who play the center position naturally, is a pairing the LA Clippers have never had, and fans have had to watch other teams, such as the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers, excel with it. This is only capable with an enormous, elite three-point shooter like Karl-Anthony Towns or Evan Mobley.

Conversely, the Clippers landed one just weeks ago, Brook Lopez, who may not be an all-star like Towns or Mobley, but he brings more experience and can still shoot the lights out on the same level as both.

In 2024-25, Lopez shot 37.3% from beyond the arc, drilling 139 out of 373 attempts in 80 games. This is the third-highest he has ever made in his career, with the second, 148, occurring the previous season, showing that age has not led to any minor setbacks that could hinder his perfect jump shot.

These numbers make it extremely easy to believe he would thrive as a power forward, when requested by the coaching staff, even though he has been listed as a center for every one of his 17 seasons.

That said, Zubac and Lopez, two former teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers, sharing the court together was a speculation among fans, and it seemed like something Tyronn Lue would briefly try; however, the latest words from the former NBA champion confirm that it will be in the works next season.

Brook Lopez running power forward with Ivica Zubac at center is the dream front-court for LA Clippers fans worldwide

During interviews yesterday, reporters asked Brook Lopez about his potential fit alongside Ivica Zubac, and he spoke optimistically. Lopez mentioned their defensive potential, as they are both phenomenal, but offensively, he made sure to cover the facts where he will space the floor, allowing Zubac to be the same beast he has been in the paint.

Additionally, the three-point shooting, rebounding, and rim protection efficiency with Lopez and Zubac on the court simultaneously will excel, posing as a perfect transition from the three-guard lineups Tyronn Lue was forced to play throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

That said, these words are designed to excite fans, and the Clippers may not start games with Lopez. Still, when opponents like the Cleveland Cavaliers arrive on schedule, LA will not be taken advantage of, as they have their personal combination of unstoppable twin towers on the hardwood.
