With the game of basketball undergoing constant change, it is the job of media outlets and companies to adapt by hiring well-known, likable people for various roles. Many of these positions that are opened are granted to former players that fans would love to watch before, during, and after games, following their careers on the sidelines.

Moreover, Amazon, a reputable shopping service, is also known for its streaming capabilities, which people worldwide use for entertainment. Recently, they established a long-term contract with the NBA.

Of course, with the massive news, recruiters for Amazon needed voices, and one of the first individuals evaluated was Dallas Mavericks and NBA legend, Dirk Nowitzki. He spent 1,522 games with the Mavericks, and stepped away from his sneakers with an MVP, a championship, and Dallas fans claiming he is the greatest power forward in history.

This was an excellent choice, as Nowitzki has the aforementioned credentials and a personality that everyone watching will enjoy. He was one of the perfect fits for the openings Amazon had.

However, additional openings were available, and Clippers legend Blake Griffin was under consideration as another candidate. Unlike Nowitzki, Griffin does not have a championship or league MVP, but he has years of All-Star appearances and is a master of analyzing basketball under the camera spotlight.

Thus, Amazon’s choice was clear, and Griffin was hired, which was news for fans of the Clippers, as their favorite power forward, who generated love for the game among many, was in a unique yet crucial role.

Hype surrounding Griffin’s new job had stemmed from everywhere, but a podcast featuring a credible source spoke about the six-time All-Star and made predictions for next season and beyond.

Fred Katz, a national writer, made a bold prediction on Blake Griffin and his new job for Amazon

It will certainly take some getting used to seeing Blake Griffin, someone who used to wear red, white, and blue for the LA Clippers, transition from effortlessly dunking on defenders in the paint to discussing the game in a suit and tie with other NBA greats.

But Griffin will do great, and Fred Katz of The Athletic agreed in the latest podcast of The Athletic NBA Daily. He briefly mentioned how distinct his personality is, essentially covering the fact that the Clipper legend will thrive and break out on Amazon’s streaming services in the first season of a new era for basketball television.
