In the preseason, a common denominator around the league is for teams to allow their key players to maximize their reps under a minutes restriction. Everyone wants a bite of the playoffs, but with so much to lose, given that there is no reward in the end, injuries are horrifying.
However, the offseason has its own risks. There have been countless instances where players in all sports have faced injuries while preparing for the season, which, to some, come with different consequences, as not everyone in the industry receives guaranteed money.
Moreover, off-season basketball leagues and tournaments, such as FIBA Basketball, the Olympics, or the Drew League, share a parallel unpredictability in that players often injure themselves in their pursuit of the international spotlight.
This summer, the hot topic has been the EuroBasket, and the Los Angeles Lakers already faced a scare with Luka Doncic. He is one they cannot afford to lose, and luckily, Doncic ended up being just fine once he was evaluated, relieving the Lakers' fans.
Time passed, and the LA Clippers hoped Bogdan Bogdanovic would be cautious with Serbia. He is always motivated to do his best in representing his country, in any way, shape, or form. In the EuroBasket, Bogdanovic has teamed up with Nikola Jokic.
Unfortunately, the Clippers' injury bug has already begun, with the offseason still in progress, as Bogdanovic got hurt, and this is undoubtedly LA's biggest loss thus far.
Bogdan Bogdanovic's repeated hamstring injury is not a good sign for the LA Clippers
Bogdan Bogdanovic was playing well for Serbia in the EuroBasket with seven points and five boards as the captain of his squad. He was aggressively getting buckets, as his country needs his scoring and activity to win.
Conversely, Bogdanovic checked out of the game with a hamstring injury and did not make a re-appearance, worrying Serbia fans and those of the LA Clippers.
These issues are some that Bogdanovic has already encountered with the Atlanta Hawks, and although he was relatively healthy upon his arrival with the Clippers, head coach Tyronn Lue does not need any surprises heading into next season.
Hours went by, and an update surfaced that Bogdanovic would be hopping on the first flight back to Los Angeles with his 2025 EuroBasket showing coming to an end. Depending on the recovery timeline, he should focus on taking the rest of the summer with ease, as a stress-free 2025-26 campaign is all fans of the Clippers can hope for.
