The Los Angeles Clippers will begin their 2025-26 NBA regular season against the Jazz in Utah on Wednesday night. LA has high expectations for the new campaign. From a talent standpoint, this Clippers squad features the potential to make serious noise in the standings. Their injury history is impossible to ignore, though, so they must find a way to stay healthy. The good news is that none of the team's star players are listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Jordan Miller is out due to left hamstring soreness, according to the NBA injury report. Kobe Sanders and Jahmyl Telfort are also out (G League - Two Way). Those are the only three players listed on the injury report for Wednesday night's contest in Utah.
Kawhi Leonard looking for healthy 2025-26 NBA season
Kawhi Leonard's injury history is the most concerning on the team. He's a superstar when healthy, but it's no secret that Kawhi has endured trouble in reference to staying on the floor. It seems as if Leonard is ready to go to begin the year, though. The Clippers will still proceed with caution, but perhaps Leonard will find a way to play in 55 or more games this season.
James Harden and Leonard are looking to lead the Clippers to a deep postseason run. The Western Conference is deep, but there are believers in this team. The possibility of injury is the team's most concerning potential obstacle. Not having to deal with star player injuries to begin the season is promising to say the least.
Bradley Beal was added during the offseason, and he is also another player who has been limited by the injury bug. Leonard and Harden are the best players on the roster, but Beal's production could make or break Los Angeles' championship hopes. If he stays healthy and plays up to his potential, the Clippers will instantly become a legitimate contender in the Western Conference.
There is certainly hope for a Clippers team that has consistently been unable to accomplish their goals in the playoffs. It is a long season and anything can happen of course, but the team's outlook is encouraging overall. Los Angeles would certainly love to begin the new campaign with a victory in Utah against the Jazz -- who are expected to struggle throughout the year.
Tip-off for the Clippers-Jazz matchup on Wednesday night is scheduled for 9 PM EST.
