1. Reggie Jackson

With the recent addition of John Wall, Reggie Jackson’s value for the LA Clippers is on the rise. What many tend to forget is that Jackson can be utilized as a three-point shooter as well as the primary ball handler. When defenses collapse on Leonard and George, players like Jackson will be left wide open from the three-point line. As the Clippers traded for Norman Powell at the deadline, Jackson’s job is now easier than ever.

Furthermore, Jackson’s performances during the postseason prove just that. Through 19 games in the 2021 playoffs, Jackson averaged 17.8 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, and 3.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 48.4% from the field, and 40.8% from the three-point line on 7.5 attempts.

Last season, Jackson did a phenomenal job handling the responsibilities as the number one scoring option. While his shooting splits may have been below average, Jackson constantly made the right plays and showed up when it mattered most. He was arguably Lue’s most important player last season, as he only missed a total of seven games.

During training camp, Jackson will be expected to run the offense and shoot the ball as efficiently as possible. His shot selection will be key in receiving quality playing time with the starting rotation. If Jackson is playing at his very best, he will likely begin the season as the leading point guard. He also has great chemistry with players like George and Zubac, which may lead to several opportunities on both ends of the floor.
