Luke Kennard may have had the best season of his career last year. Kennard posted 11.9 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 44.9% from the field, and a league-high 44.9% from the three-point line. Although these numbers may look great, what Kennard does away from the ball is what makes him so valuable.
With the addition of John Wall, having players who can catch and shoot at an efficient rate makes winning games even easier. Luke Kennard is the best catch-and-shoot player in the NBA. Last season, Kennard shot a “catch and shoot” three-point percentage of 45.8 on 4.6 attempts per game.
Overall, Kennard would score 6.8 “catch and shoot” points per game. In addition, Kennard would run 1.1 miles per game on the offensive end. This shows how effective Kennard can be by moving off-ball and creating space for himself.
