No. 2 reason the LA Clippers should stay far away from a Kemba Walker trade: We’re surviving with our current team

Look, I understand that we’re not necessarily thrilled with the LA Clippers’ 11-10 record, but we also shouldn’t be discouraged.

The Clippers are currently sitting with the fifth seed in the West without Kawhi Leonard. Many doubted that this was even possible before the season. If anything, one could argue that we’re even overperforming.

In case you haven’t heard, Walker is being taken out of the rotation by Knicks Head Coach Tom Thibodeau. So, if the Clippers trade for Walker, they’re trading for a player on a team that’s only a half-game better in a lesser conference that isn’t even good enough to play on that team.

There’s no reason to do this. The Clips don’t need to panic at 11-10 and the fifth-best mark in the Western Conference.

Wasn’t a problem heading into last offseason that we had too many point guards? Let’s not create a logjam like that again. Especially when we have a point guard coming back later this year.
