Marcus Morris Sr. will be back playing for the LA Clippers in no time
By Evan Desai
Marcus Morris Sr. played in the first couple games of the season, but has been missing for the LA Clippers ever since.
He’s been dealing with knee problems, but has recently been able to do five-on-five workouts in practice. Even with that news, however, he still hasn’t returned to the court.
He may have teased that we could be seeing him return soon, however, on Monday through a Tweet:
Do not be shocked if Marcus Morris Sr. returns to the LA Clippers as soon as Tuesday night’s game.
If Marcus Morris Sr. is “back doing what (he) loves,” then he must be close to a return to game action. He was already obviously participating in five-on-five work. NBA reporter who covers the LA Clippers, Justin Russo, sees it just how I do:
The Clips would be getting Morris back at the right time. After all, Luka Doncic may be making a return for the team the Clips are playing against in the Dallas Mavericks, and the Clips could of course use an extra body to help out on defense.
We know how important Morris is to this squad. He’s an everyday starter on it when healthy. It’s also a perfect time for him to be returning due to Nicolas Batum being out because of league health and safety protocols.
He won’t be playing against the Mavericks, and he helped defend the Mavericks so well last season in the playoffs. The Clips need to get back some of the depth that they’ve been missing this year.
The team’s already 10-7 on the season, and 10-5 without Mook. Imagine how good this team can be once they get key players like Morris back from injury.
We’re already waiting for Jason Preston and Kawhi Leonard to return. Having Morris back will be massive for this franchise.
