No. 2 player on the LA Clippers roster bubble for 2021-2022: George King

George King was brought to camp by the LA Clippers with the hopes that he can maybe bring us some depth at small forward with Kawhi Leonard out for a while.

King is a former 59th overall pick out of Colorado, where he was an All-Pac 12 player in the 2017-2018 season.

He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2018, but ended up only playing in one game that next season, and it was only for six minutes. He hasn’t played in an NBA game since.

I like what King can bring offensively, based on what I saw in who he was at the Power 5 level in college. In his last three years of college, King averaged 12.5 points per game, and shot 41.1% from deep. He shot 45% from the field.

Collecting 6.4 rebounds per game, he was an impact player in college. His chances of making this squad are going to come down to how he develops in the preseason now that training camp is over, and final roster moves are going to be made soon.
