The LA Clippers have already started training camp, and the season is going to start in just a few weeks.

It’s going to be a season unlike any other for the Clippers, with many question marks surrounding this team right now.

We really don’t know how this team is going to look for a significant period without Kawhi Leonard, and how some of the new faces will work with this group. There are three areas around this team that need to be remembered throughout the season. There are three aspects to this upcoming year that make it another unique season in Clipper history.

No. 3 LA Clippers storyline that can’t be ignored this season: The Clips are changing the game

The LA Clippers were a team that played a unique style of basketball this past postseason due to the situations they were in.

Serge Ibaka went down early, and the Clippers were forced to go small. Even without Kawhi Leonard, they still were forced to go small. Especially when Ivica Zubac went down in the Western Conference Finals.

The Clippers are going to go small again this season. They may not go as small as they did in the postseason, but they’re part of this newer wave of NBA basketball teams where smaller lineups that are wing heavy are utilized very frequently.

Teams like the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets started this new wave, but people need to remember how the Clippers are also part of this transition, and are keeping up with the times. They are one of the teams that are changing basketball.
