Ranking who should shoot the most threes for the LA Clippers in ’21-22

No. 1: Paul George

Paul George is the number one option for the LA Clippers next year, and needs to be the number one option behind the arc as well.

PG needs to be taking the most threes this year because we’re going to be in a lot of evenly matched contests. Remember, we won’t have Kawhi Leonard for a significant portion of the season. We’re going to need to hit a lot of big time shots if we want to win a lot of regular season games.

PG13 is getting paid over $39 million to be that guy, so we need to let him cook. George is criticized by trolls for some of his shortcomings in the playoffs at times in his career, but it’s also worth noting that he’s had loads of great moments in the playoffs. He even had many this past postseason.

He’s proven that he does have what it takes to get it done in the clutch. Even when his stroke went cold in the Western Conference Finals in a couple of the games, his teammates kept feeding him the ball. This team clearly looks up to PG and trusts him to be that guy.

I do too, and know that if there’s anyone who can be trusted with this type of workload it has to be George. We’re going to see fireworks from this whole offense, however. The number one identity of this offense is going to be three-point shooting.
