No. 2 LA Clippers player who will provide defensive fortitude: Marcus Morris Sr.

I know, Marcus Morris Sr. hasn’t gotten many steals for the LA Clippers, but everybody knows that you’ve got to look deeper than that. Morris throughout this past season was tasked with taking on the most difficult assignments on this Clipper defense. When Kawhi Leonard went down, he had to take on tougher opponents.

When Paul George went down, he had to take on tougher defensive assignments. Sure, Kawhi Leonard is out for a while, and that makes things harder on the rest of the defense. Morris literally went through this last year, however, and succeeded.

This is exactly why I knew we’d be able to contain Luka Doncic in the postseason. We had three guys who take on those type of assignments regularly.

Morris likes to be the ‘tough guy’ on the court. Now with Patrick Beverley off of the team, he’s going to be asked to take that up to even another level.
