No. 2 goal for Reggie Jackson next season: Score like he did in the playoffs
Reggie Jackson should just pretend it’s the postseason when he steps on the court next year for the LA Clippers.
He was unstoppable as a scoring threat in the postseason. Mr. June scored 17.8 points per game as a point guard in the playoffs this year, which is a 7.1 point jump from what his average was in the regular season.
He was hitting the paint strong, he was shooting at a high level (as always), and making plays when they weren’t supposed to be there.
He shot 40.8% from deep in postseason play this year. If he can keep this type of scoring production up, the Clippers are going to have an amazing season.
He’s going to make life without Kawhi Leonard so much easier. Leonard averaged 24.8 points per game last year. If Jackson can play like he did in the playoffs on the scoring end, he’ll be able to account for a lot of what LA will be missing without Kawhi.
Then, when Kawhi gets back, the team will be truly unstoppable heading into the playoffs.
