No. 2 thing that needs to happen for the LA Clippers to win NBA Finals: Kawhi Leonard to return for the Playoffs

Kawhi Leonard’s injury will likely keep him out for a significant portion of the season, but if the Clips can get him back by the postseason, their chances of winning the trophy will drastically improve.

If the team can close out the Western Conference Semifinals after Kawhi went down with a 2-2 tied series, they can absolutely go out and improve this year if he comes back for the playoffs.

The team is going to be improved as they continue to build chemistry with one another (something they couldn’t do last season with the amount of injuries they had throughout the year). Adding the best player in the Western Conference will pay massive dividends to a team that will be improved already and has one of the best coaches in basketball.

That’s another overlooked aspect of this season. Ty Lue was only in his first year with this group. Imagine what he can pull together now that he gets another year as the man in charge for this Clipper team.

He’s won a championship before. He can do it again.
