It’s truly way too early to tell if the LA Clippers won the Eric Bledsoe trade.

On one hand, the Clippers got rid of Rajon Rondo, and improved offensively by adding Bledsoe. On the other hand, the Clips lost some defense with the subtraction of Patrick Beverley, and are now missing one of the top leaders and culture creators of this team.

Regardless of how Clippers fans are feeling about the trade (the fanbase seems to be a little split on it), Bledsoe can absolutely be a huge addition to this team. There are a few goals he should set for himself, in order to get to where he wants to be. Those goals are definitely attainable, and I’m excited to see him out there this year.

No. 3 goal for Eric Bledsoe’s 2021-22 season with the LA Clippers: Drop 400 dimes

Eric Bledsoe will be running the point for the LA Clippers’ second team.

He’ll be trusted to facilitate the offense, and he needs to be serving up assists for a deep second group. I’m not asking him to average his career-high in assists (6.3 in the 2016-2017 season). That being said, we really do need a full handful of assists per contest.

Also, we need him healthy for 80+ games, as injuries really cost us last year. With him playing point guard more often this season as opposed to last season (where he averaged 3.8 assists per game), he should be able to get to 400 assists on the season if he stays healthy.
