No. 2 free agent fans should be relieved the LA Clippers didn’t chase: Lonzo Ball

It was a good decision by the LA Clippers to not go after Lonzo Ball.

Ball got a four-year contract worth $80 million. I’m not going to say that he didn’t deserve it. I’ve always thought highly of Ball, as he has been an underrated player in this league for a long time.

I’m glad to be seeing him get his recognition, and the bread that’s come with it.

However, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. While I liked Ball as a free agent option, I’d rather just run it back with the roster we have now that Jackson decided to come back.

The Clippers clearly wanted to prioritize Jackson, a proven playoff performer, over Ball, who hasn’t played at that level just yet.

I think that Ball will likely play well once he finally gets to play in the postseason, but Jackson’s already proved how clutch he is at that level. There’s a reason ‘Mr. June’ is his nickname.
