No. 2 free agent still available worth going after for the LA Clippers: Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo is still an option for the LA Clippers.

The Heat didn’t sign Oladipo through next season at the trade deadline, so he’s been a target for many other teams for a while now.

They didn’t re-sign him on the first day, but signed Kyle Lowry and extended Jimmy Butler. They’re clearly not prioritizing re-signing the star (when healthy), and any team can swoop in and take Oladipo.

The only issue Oladipo’s ever really had in these last four years has been his durability. Other than that, he’s averaged over 20 points per game, and averaged over five rebounds per game. He’s dropped 4.4 dimes per contest, and shot nearly 35% from three while recording 1.8 steals per contest.

He’s well-rounded like Kawhi, and could help keep the team afloat in Leonard’s absence. He’s injury-prone, so there’s of course some risk that goes with that.

If the Clippers choose to be aggressive, however, there aren’t many free agents that would be better than Oladipo this offseason.
