LA Clippers: 3 things Keon Johnson will bring that LAC needs

No. 2 attribute Keon Johnson will bring that the LA Clippers need: A positional fit
Keon Johnson projects as a wing at the next level for the LA Clippers.
We don’t know what the Kawhi situation is, other than it seems likely that he’ll have to miss significant time next year. Therefore, getting a defensive wing to man some of those minutes was important.
Johnson can’t shoot like Kawhi from outside. He was actually only a 27.1% three-point shooter for the Vols last year. He does, however, resemble Kawhi in his quickness and aggression on the other end.
If the Clippers end up losing Reggie Jackson, they could use a Johnson. He has the speed to be able to slash at the next level, and his athleticism is next-level.
He recorded a 48-inch vertical, and will fit in very well in a backcourt with Patrick Beverley, who both like to apply immediate ball pressure on opposing ballhandlers.
The Clippers have such a good recent history when it comes to guard play, but they could still use some depth there due to them liking to play so much small ball, and due to Kawhi’s injury as well as the prospects of Jackson leaving as well.
