No. 3 free agent target for the LA Clippers that pairs nicely with Kawhi Leonard: Lou Williams

Lou Williams is also a former teammate of Kawhi Leonard of course, up until he was traded from the LA Clippers during the season this year.

In case you hadn’t heard, that trade worked out terribly for the Clips.

Bring back Lou Williams. Bring back a guy who can play both guard positions. A guy who can not only shoot the three ball at a very high level (44.4% with Atlanta this season), but who is a good passer and can get the ball to Kawhi.

Williams is a three-time Sixth Man of the Year, and can be trusted to take over for Kawhi every now and then. Kawhi being able to get consistent breathers would be huge next year, as he’s obviously going to be coming off of a significant injury.

Williams can go and get a bucket whenever he needs one, even at this age. For Kawhi to have another player like that on the court that he can trust is important. Signing Lou Will would make the Clips an even more complete team.
