No. 1 reason why Ayo Dosunmu is a great fit for the LA Clippers: He fills needs

The LA Clippers don’t want a player like Ayo Dosunmu, but they need a player like Dosunmu.

Kawhi Leonard may be out for most of, or even potentially all of next season.

They’re going to need some help on the wing, and again; Dosunmu is the type of two-guard the Clippers like.

Getting a two-guard who can play both ends of the court and has a full tool box on offense could lessen the blow of losing Leonard.

It’s the same situation with the Clippers potentially losing Jackson. I’m not saying Dosunmu would start if Jackson leaves, but he provides lots of what they’d be losing if Jackson departs.

Amir Coffey likely won’t be back next year, and picking up Dosunmu in the draft would be a clear upgrade.

Dosunmu has been mocked to the Clippers frequently lately, and for good reason.

He’d fit on the Clippers, and the Clippers need a player like him.

Oftentimes, teams worry about whether they want to draft the best player available, or if they want to go for a need. Luckily in our case, if Dosunmu is the pick, it will likely check both boxes.
