The LA Clippers had one of the best rosters in the NBA this year.

They did last year too, which is why it was so special when the Clips followed through this year with an excellent season.

It’s a deep team, and there are seven guys in particular who each provide a ton of value to their strong core. This core dealt with lots of injuries this year, and still remains one of the best overall cores in the NBA, if not the best.

No. 7 most valuable player on today’s LA Clippers roster: Patrick Beverley

Patrick Beverley is about as controversial as they come sometimes, but still does do a lot of good for the LA Clippers.

Beverley proved to be about as much of a pest as possible towards Devin Booker at many times throughout the Western Conference Finals.

A three-time All-Defensive selection, he’s solidified himself as one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. It went a long way for the Clips during the second and third playoff series for the Clippers this year, and it’s been a staple of this team for years now.

If Beverley didn’t have to miss a lot of time this year due to injury, he would have been right in the conversation for All-Defense this year too.

When Beverley started in the Western Conference Finals, good things happened. We may have lost the series, but Beverley containing the Suns’ dominant backcourt was huge for the Clippers, and proved the type of value he brings to this Clippers roster.
