The LA Clippers had their best season in team history this year.

Unfortunately, on Wednesday night, it ended up ending on their home floor in Game 6 of the series, by a score of 130-103.

Legendary Clipper Chris Paul ended up tearing his former team apart for the Phoenix Suns in the contest. That’s one thing, but Patrick Beverley, who had been chirping back and forth with Paul all series, ended up letting Paul get the best of him in the mental game as well.

Patrick Beverley was ejected from Game 6 for shoving CP3 to the ground during his dominant game vs. the LA Clippers.

Chris Paul lit up his old team in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals, scoring 41 points on 16 of 24 shooting from the field, and was seven of eight from deep vs. the LA Clippers. Patrick Beverley ended up not taking this very well.

It happened with about half a quarter left in the contest. It appeared that Paul looked at Beverley for a moment when he walked to the bench after a Clipper timeout, and Bev clearly did not like it. Many people were not impressed with his actions, and took to social media to criticize him.

Pat Bev was having a good game too, with 11 points on four of seven shooting in his 31 minutes. He hit one of his two threes.

This was an extracurricular that didn’t need to happen, and most likely did not represent his teammates very well.

It unfortunately gave notorious Clipper critics like Shannon Sharpe ammo to attack our team instead of accepting that we had the best season in Clipper history, and did much better than Sharpe’s LA Lakers.

Clearly, Pat Bev’s issue with CP3 must be deeper than what we were able to see on television.

We may never know exactly why Beverley did what he did, but a lot unfortunately went wrong for the Clips tonight.

That being said, fighting this valiantly with Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac, and Serge Ibaka out proves that the Clippers did indeed have a successful season.

This offseason will be about managing the Kawhi Leonard situation, getting healthy, and re-signing the other key players who are set to be free agents.
