No. 3 LA Clippers free agent likeliest to return this offseason: Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard will be an LA Clipper next year.

There’s no reason for him to leave. He’s in the location he wants to be at, he’s able to play with the guy he recruited in Paul George, and he’s on one of the best and deepest rosters in the league again next year if he stays with the Clips.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN also believes that he has a good relationship with Head Coach Ty Lue. The only reason Kawhi would realistically be serious about leaving is if the Clippers exited the postseason early again.

They certainly didn’t, so Kawhi will absolutely be down to stay. He should most likely turn down his player option to test how much everyone is willing to pay for him, but the Clippers are absolutely going to push as hard as they can to keep him in that situation.

Kawhi accomplished too much with the Clips this year to dip this offseason.
