Clippers Starting Shooting Guard Prediction: Paul George

Paul George had an insane season in 2020-2021.

He shot 46.7% from the field, which is the best percentage of his career.

Only three players averaged 23 and 6 (rebounds) while draining 40% or more of his three-point attempts this year. They were Nikola Vucevic, Julius Randle, and our own PG.

Also, in the postseason, he accumulated incredibly impressive stat totals:

So much was asked of George in these playoffs with the injury to Kawhi Leonard, and he gave the Clips and their fanbase everything he had.

The best part about George is that he knows how to respond to adversity. When he was criticized heavily for missing free throws here and there in big-time moments, he bounced back with elite performances in this postseason.

He followed up from all of his struggles this postseason with huge moments, and I’m excited to see more of those moments next year.

He signed an extension in 2020, and will surely be back next year. He and Leonard will continue to be one of the best, if not the best, duo in this league.

Leonard recruited him here, and their chemistry on the court is strong.
