Clippers Starting Point Guard Prediction: Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson will be playing for the Clippers next season.

It’s true that he’ll cost a lot of money this offseason after his insane playoff performance this year.

It’s not even just that he put up good numbers. He did, but they weren’t spectacular. He averaged 17.8 points per contest (playoff career-high), while shooting 48.4% from the field (another playoff career-high), and shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc.

Those numbers are nice, but who he was in the clutch was even better. He kept hitting big shot after big shot in the most influential moments of the postseason.

He was so terrific in the playoffs that he even earned a new nickname; Mr. June.

Mr. June he was, and this June will be his favorite month of the year, because it indeed will earn him a very lucrative contract.

I think he’ll work it out to sign with the Clippers again. He recently credited the Clippers for “saving” him after the season ended.

He and the Clippers clearly have a great relationship, and his play took off as soon as Ty Lue entered him into the starting lineup during the first round of these NBA Playoffs.

If he’s back, the Clippers will have him pick up right where he left off and start him.
