The LA Clippers enter the offseason as a championship favorite.
Yes, it’s of course early to make those type of predictions, but no matter who wins the NBA Finals, the Clippers will absolutely be in the conversation for title favorites the second the 2021 NBA Finals end.
This offseason will have its challenges. There are already teams trying to pry our best player away from us, and we have other potential starting players to re-sign as well.
The Clippers are coming off of their best season in history, making the Western Conference Finals for the first time in history.
The Clippers got over the hump, and will enter the 2021-2022 NBA season with lots of momentum.
It’s not even just that the Clippers got over the hump, but that we did it with an incredibly injured roster.
Kawhi Leonard missed 20 regular season games plus eight in the playoffs, Paul George was out for 18 regular season contests, Patrick Beverley missed 35 regular season games, Marcus Morris Sr. went out for 15 regular season matchups, and Serge Ibaka was hurt for 31 games in the regular season and 17 postseason contests.
This team fought through a ridiculous amount of adversity, and it wasn’t too long ago when people were calling for Ty Lue’s head. Now, everyone knows that the Clippers have one of the best head coaches in the NBA that’s going to be coaching what is likely to be in the conversation for the best roster in basketball.
The starting lineup in particular will most likely look great.
