The LA Clippers are down 0-2 to start this first round playoff series vs. the Dallas Mavericks, and Clippers Head Coach Ty Lue is at the forefront of the criticism.

Many are questioning Ty Lue’s future if the LA Clippers do indeed lose this series.

Ty Lue was an Assistant Coach for Doc Rivers last year with the Clippers. Doug Gottlieb of Stadium and Fox Sports is questioning if he will be an assistant for Rivers again soon, who is the Head Coach of the Philadelphia 76ers right now.

Clipperholics’ own Michael Hanich expressed much displeasure in Ty Lue last night. He specifically questioned some decisions on who Lue chose to award playing time to.

Ibaka played six minutes in the game. It’s puzzling to understand why someone with his strong playoff resume as a defensive player is not getting more than six minutes. He was battling an injury recently where he had to sit out 30 games, but he’s back now. It’s hard to listen to excuses for decisions like that.

ESPN’s Jordan Schultz isn’t impressed with Lue either.

After the game, Lue expressed that he isn’t concerned about the situation. Kristian Winfield, an NBA reporter for the New York Daily News wasn’t impressed.

Lue is receiving a ton of the blame here for the Clippers, and it’s expected.

Taking this job set a candidate up for lots of criticism if things were to fail, due to the strong roster and depth that the front office provided for Lue.

The front office could be in position to make many more moves this offseason if the series doesn’t turn around.
