LA Clippers: Pass or Pursue on Clippers Buyout Rumors
The trade deadline is over, and fans of the LA Clippers are feeling pretty unsettled. None of the big moves that the Clippers were rumored to be pursuing came to be, and instead Lou Williams was shipped out for Rajon Rondo.
We seem to be somewhat split on our opinions of the deal, with the majority leaning to the negative. But the LA Clippers still have the opportunity to improve the team through the buyout market, and rumors are flying about some of the biggest names.
When the LA Clippers shipped out Mfiondu Kabengele, we knew that it signaled that there was another move in the works. The two biggest names linked to the LA Clippers are Andre Drummond and LaMarcus Aldridge. And while the center position might not be the biggest spot of need, you can never have enough depth. Not to mention, a three headed monster of Ibaka/Zubac/Drummond or Aldridge sounds pretty devastating.
So let’s play a little game of Pass or Pursue? For each of the bigs that we’ve been linked to, are we feeling the fit for the LA Clippers? We’ll look at how they’ve played this season and how that might translate to their performance on the Clips.
We’ll wrap up by giving each guy a grade of “pass” or “pursue,” which is just my personal opinion of whether they’re somebody I think the LA Clippers should try to sign them, or if they’re a guy the Clips would be better off letting go. Let’s start with recently bought out San Antonio big man LaMarcus Aldridge
