The LA Clippers are a few games into the second half of the season and many of us have questions about the team and their outlook going forward.

Here at Clippperholics, we are trying to answer some of the burning questions from fans on just how the team is going to approach the second half of this season.

If you missed part one, make sure to check that out as your question may already have been touched on.

LA Clippers Mailbag Question #1

Will Amir Coffey crack the rotation with the new two-way rules?

If you aren’t aware, the NBA recently decided that for this season, they will forgo the two-way rules that limited players from only appearing in a certain amount of games and will allow those players to also be playoff eligible.

SO, do I think Amir Coffey benefits from this?

Sadly, I do not. He might be able to get some experience from being with the team come postseason but that’s about all I can see barring some injuries plaguing the roster.

I’m pretty positive that come postseason, Ty Lue will shorten the rotation to only about nine players. Coffey, for as fun as he can be, will not even sniff that lineup.

For the regular season, he might get a little extra run since they don’t have to count how many games he has been active for. His availability might mean the team can be a little more cautious if any guys experience dings that they would otherwise play through but that’s honestly about it.

At least he looked good in the G-League this season.
